Alright i was driving my car and the temp gauge was normal and i stoped at a red light and looked down and the needle was way over 260. i was freaking out at this time and drove it about 2 blocks to the shop where i get everythng done and shut it off. I told them what was going on and they and they checked evrything over like coolent and if the fans were running everthing was good then we went to start it and when we did the temp gauge went down to 160 and bounced back up to way over 260 so we let it sit for bout 2 hours and tried it again .It started with the temp gauge at over 260. And its been that way ever since someone tell me whats going on.

 

the temp guage will show a reading of high temp if the wire leading to the sensor is grounded.

 

could you tell me where the sensor is.

 

driver side head, between #1 and #3 sparkplugs

sweet now i know why my temp gauge dose not work the sensor is not plugged in

where does this wire come from so i can try to find it?

 

i have been trying to find that damn sensor for like 2 hours where dose to wire that goes into the head come from???
