Techniques for launching Nitto's
Maybe the temperature or track conditions had something to do with it. It's still winter and pretty cold in this area, it was in the 40's here on Sunday and I'm not far from you. Was it much warmer the last time you ran on your street tires, that may have a lot to do with how well you were hooking.
well my best short time so far was with my first pair of nittos(havent been back to the track yet) but look in my sig. and those are with 17"s at 15psi,50% tread left that i bought used. i will say this, my car hooks like an animal on the street though. even cars with bigger convertors have been out launched
seems to me that obvisouly the colder the weather, the longer burnout you need to do and keep it to like 3,000 rpms

I agree it's tough to launch a M6 good, but come on, when you go from SZ50's to Nitto DR's, you'd expect to do a little better.
A4's are for weenies who can't launch or be consistent!!!

Yeah, I know that the cold weather had something to do with it. I was talking to one of the track guys last night, and they said it was too cold to put the spray glue stuff whatever it is down.
I can too drive!!!
