TEA 220cc trickflows

Are these heads to big for a 355. i was thinking about using them and having them milled to 56cc chambers. with a 0 decked block and my pistons and a .038 gasket they make about 11.5.1 SCR but is the port to big for a street driven car.

Port velocity is important on a street engine. If your running a 396, you could probably get away with it. My edge is that it is somewhat too big for a 355.

No, they are not too big, cam it right, 12 to 1 compression and hold it in the street.

Your quench is good . Shoot for a DRC of 8.8, 8.9 and like stated above 12 scr. 373s and you'll manage on the street.

You are correct with 11.5:1 SCR. What are your cam specs and I'll help with the DCR.

Looking at the flow chart the 220cc heads are flowed on a 4.125 bore whereas the 200cc head is flowed on a 4.03 bore. Looking at both charts the 200 have better mid lift flow #s on a smaller fixture. The 200 would be better for a street driven car. I should've looked at this before posting. Anyone have results from either one of these heads?

Thats what I was thinking i wanted to know about the 220cc is that they are about 100 more. i probably will go with the 200s though that way the 11.5 compression should be enough and if i want to go bigger stoker or fi i can just have them ported somemore.
