TB Bypass, Service Engine Soon???

i did the TB Bypass today and it went "kinda smoothly". kinda because i broke the plastic vacuum line that runs under the TB and next the fuel lines. BUT i did reconnect it just with the longer end of the line. when i started it up it shut itself off. i tried again and it runs fine now, but the Service Engine light is on!! WHYYY?? i checked all the connectors i was workign around and they are all fine.

Re: TB Bypass, Service Engine Soon???

The only way to be sure why the light came on is with a scan. You may have bent a pin on the MAF, damaged the pink wire in the bundle going to the MAF. Did you knock the coolant temp sensor off the water pump? Did you spill any coolant on the Optispark distributor?
