TB bypass- barbed connector from Pep Boys?

Going to do the bypass this w/e. Went to Pep Boys and picked up a white barbed connector. It's plastic, but real hard. Is this OK to connect my hoses with? Won't melt will it? And I need one b/c my car is a '94.
Thanks

It should be ok, but I didn't use anything. i disconnected the hose on the drivers side TB and took the passenger hose off completely then just hooked up the drivers side hose to where the pass. side had been connected. No fittings needed just used the same hose clamp.

95-7 don't need a hose barb.. 93-4 do..
I'd use brass but the plastic is probably OK.
Any hardware store has em or Home Depot, etc..
3/8" hose barb connector..

I used a brass one. It was a buck and a half at Home Depot I wouldn't trust plastic under the heat and the force of the clamps. If it fails you'll be kicking yourself.

Get a friend to help. One guy twists and pulls while the other pushes a small screwdriver between the hose and the fitting and pries them apart and sprays WD40 in the gap.
