Won't hurt anything, and it's a very simple thing to do. All you need is a single plastic connector, I believe it's a 3/8" size, two small band clamps, and a couple of small plastic caps. You unplug the two coolant hoses from the throttlebody, AFTER draining a little coolan so as to not make a mess, put a small cap on the two openings on the throttlebody, connect the two lines via the plastic connector, tighten the band clamps, and drive happy!

Be sure to put some towels around where you are working so your opti stays dry when you spill coolant from the hoses when you pull them off the throttle body.

I broke the clamps that hold the hoses on the tb so I just cut the hoses as close as I could to the tb and it worked fine. Doesnt look the greatest but it works Also as Bud said, use a few towels so you dont get your opti
