Re: tb bypass?

I don't have it capped on my TB. It's just to keep dirt out of there if you ever want to hook it back up again.

Re: tb bypass?

Yulp, you'll be fine. Just might want to make sure all of the coolant is out of the TB.

Once the lines are disconnected, there's really nothing to worry about. I plugged them just for the clean look.

Re: tb bypass?

3/8" caps will plug the holes.! during cold winter months if you still drive ur F-body i would connect the coolant hoses back on the TB to cause it from freezeing. Its only a good mod in the summer time!

Re: tb bypass?

Depends on how cold it gets in the winter, if it gets below freezing where you live they might freeze, but anything over that and your TB blades won't freeze.

Re: tb bypass?

well i am in florida, we dont see freezing temps but posssibly a few times out of the winter!

how did you get that lh hose off? if u are talking abou teh lil 90 degree elbow, the two lil clamps that were on it were upside down and the most pita thing to get to. i took the alternator brackets off, unpluuged all the wire harness deals going on, ( jsut so i could get a good look at it , and not rip them apart while going crazy trying to tear it apart!) then kinda twisted them a lil to break them loose then got a flathead screwdriver and pryed them down! not as easy as i thought! have fun if u still havent finised lol!

Re: tb bypass?

If it gets cold enough to freeze your TB blades, how on a cold startup is coolant going to unfreeze them? They don't need to be put back on for winter.
