TB Bypass

Is there any special way to do this on a 1994 rather than any other year? I've heard that on the 1994 you are connecting the two lines and on other years you are relocating one line and leaving the other disconnected. What exactly do I need to do? Anybody have pics for this year?

there are two tubes

need a 3/8" brass connector and 2 hose clamps

the one pipe is on the right side going to the lower right (looking from top), the other is on the left side near the back of the TB going straight down, PITA to get that one off if the clamp is faced towards the back, just 2 screw drivers and bend the **** outta it in that case

Remove the two coolant hoses from the throttle body and join them together with a hose connector.
Don't forget to place towels under the hoses/throttle body so the opti stays dry.
Bleed the cooling system when you're done.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info guys. I got one more question. I went to the local autozone and all they had was the plastic vacuum connector for a 3/8" hose. Will it work or will the plastic melt with the high heat from the coolant? I ended up buying it anyway just incase it will work but receipts always help out!

I just done this yesterday. I used the 3/8 plactic one and it worked better than the brass ones I was trying to use. Make sure you get the right size and tighten it down very very good. Yesterday I didn't tighten it down good and the 3/8 connector wasn't the exact same size on both sides and it sprayed anit-freeze everywhere. Probably ruined my opti, who knows??

I would never use plastic. Who knows how long that will hold up?
