Taylor OTVC Passanger Side Wire Routing Help...
Taylor OTVC Passanger Side Wire Routing Help...
Well, ive had my OTVC on for about a month and right away my power steering pump chewed up a wire. So i moved it out of the way and everything has been fine until lastnite. Now my A/C delete totally ATE one of my wires! Belt was squeeking and its wrapped around the back of the pulley like 2 times. So i went to summit today and bought another set of plug wires(just to replace 1 wire
) So i dont want to make the same mistake twice. I took the plastic piece out that wraps around the bottom of the alternator that holds the factory plug wires in place. I just need to know how ya guys routed yours without being chewed up by the accessories. I did a search but found nothing that would help me out.

If I remeber correctly, I used the little black pieces that came on the stock wires to hold them together, just modified them with a dremel so they would work better. I ran them behind the pulleys in the stock location and haven't had any problems so far. I used alot of plastic wire ties to keep them out of them from getting ate up. Hope this helps.

Haha, I just got done putting in new passenger side wires for this same reason. Now mine are routed right along the edge of the accesory bracket (to the right of it going straight up from the opti). Mine are zip tied together and I have about a 1/4" gap b/w them and the belt. As long as they are pulled straight and tight, they should never hit.

I ran mine straight up beside the accessory bracket, then between the throttle body and the valve cover then to the looms on the valvecovers. Use wire ties and keep them routed tightly.
