Not when exhaust pluming can get upwards of 1200 degrees guys, lol. come on silocone jacket plug wire is not cryptonite. it will burn on a header or manifold, not to be a jerk, but come on. this is common knowlage, you just dont let them touch. lol. Prorac1

How can you run them over on a '96-7? Seems hard to get around manifolds and the headers for these aren't much better.

well no **** prorac...thats a given man. but the wires have a higher heat rating than any other street/strip wire. Really i don't care what kind of wires you or this guy runs...he asked for some feedback and he got some.

Just an observation, but if you dont care then why are you getting so worked up?

Oh, and I dont think I would buy a wire based on its heat rating. I would rather use whatever would work best.

I've been using Taylors in the factory looms for years now with headers, and never had a problem. Not that I think Taylors are better than MSD. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong with either. Unless you install them improperly.

nology wires

well i feel that taylor and msd wires are a waste of money.i run nology hotwires in my car they provide 300 times more spark than the compition.i saw the demonstration myself at there factory in San Marcos,CA.the wires have a semi-conductor to build up spark and dis-charge at the right time.the only draw back is the size they start out at 8mm then go to 11.5mm at the plug.so needless to say forget factory looms and get creative.you will also have to ground out each wire.i did mine to the valve covers, but i had to go to Napa auto parts to get grounding strapsto finish my project.if you dont ground out the wires you wont get optimum performance and your computer will get thrown out of wack .for example my abs inop light kept gonig on until i finished my project.the wires run about $300.00.it's pricy but worth every penny,at least look into it.if you call ask for jeff he helped me out.

I think it all depends on pricing. I picked up my MSD 8.5mm wires on a special (including some NGK TR55's). So if you can find the Taylors cheaper, get those. If you find the MSD's cheaper, get those . All depends on the pocket book IMO.

Here's the ignition wires that have worked well for me. Taylors, MSD's and Accel 8.8's. I've got the Taylors at the moment and they've been flawless now for about a year. I ran the other to brands in the past on a different car and aside from some header/routing related problems they were very good also.

Well just Great!

I was about to install my NEW set of MSD's and they will not fit.
I won't say who the supplier was but they really screwed up my order.
I told them I have the new JETHOT (hooker) header and wanted some over the valve cover MSD wires, and "Made for You Looms" guy says:"No problem".

I got the MSD's part number 32149 "universal" wires for a LT1 Camaro 93-96 and don't even come close to fitting oh and the MFY looms are for Horizontal mount (bolts on the side of the valve covers).

Does anyone sell a set of wires that are not fabricated that I can just put on the car using looms for over the valve cover?

Thanks
Jim
