Both are good brands. I personally have the Taylor 10.4mm universal wires and love them. Nice and fat

Yes, you should change them. I have had both and they are both great wires.

Re: Taylor made vs MSD ?

I had my taylor spiro pro whatever junk wires arc to everything. AC lines, headers, motor mounts. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I wont buy them again soon. I have had great luck with MSDs. I just made my own over the valve cover wires this week, they work Awesome with my new pacesetters. So, I vote MSD, based on past experience.

Re: Taylor made vs MSD ?

well funny thing is i have all the msd stuff. the 6AL, the blaster coil, the MSD timing retard, and now the wires. Im just too lazy to make those damn wires and to route them...

Ill prob get to it this weekend. Also i know they are .5mm bigger than the TM ones. Thing is i have the Blue TM and now i have red MSD. So its going to look a little funny having blue wire holders over the valve cover and then having red wires lol..

Well thanks for the replies.

Re: Taylor made vs MSD ?

32129 has straight boots and the 32139 has the 90 degree boots. Check summit out. Those both say for LT1, but I wonder if those are just the pre-cut ones. Thunder sells the 32149, and summit doesn't list that as specifically for LT1, but for chevy 350, so maybe the wires are longer???

Re: Taylor made vs MSD ?

My taylors arched right through the side with less than 1000 miles on them. The top part of my dyno graph looked like *** due to the ignition break up. I will never use anything other than MSD now.

Re: Taylor made vs MSD ?

Just look at which ones you have on there now. Some headers or OTVC setups may be easier with straight boots.

Re: Taylor made vs MSD ?

I'm confused. What exactly is happening when it "arcs" as you all describe? I have 8.5mm Spiro Pros that have been on my car for maybe the last 6k miles maybe?

Anyway, I'm goign to pacesetter LTs in a couple weeks and hoped I could keep my wires. Really bad idea?
