Don't foge you power sering lines run over to a reservoir monted on he right fender. You also have battery harness (+ and ground) a well as ground strap from body to engine block.

Quick question about the AC. Now, I'm assuming I need to drain the system before I unhook the evap canister. Is that right? Or can I just unhook those lines without worrying about it?

I took mine out from the bottom last week.
You do not need to remove the alternator and serpentine belt.
You must discharge the refrigerant before disconnecting the hoses to the evaporator and condenser.

Re: Taking the engine out

i justed used a rag on and an allen wrench on the valve on top of the ac line to discharge it, be sure to block off the holes so you don't get condensation in the ac system.
