Takin out my rearend to put in my 4:10

What will i expect with these new gears....they are motive 4:10's..guy from ls1 speed said they were quiet compared to richmond gears. And were they very hard to set up?

I have motive 410s in my 94 Z and the car feels totally different. You will have no traction on street tires. This was my first gear install and my work was not perfect. My gears whine a little bit. Id say that with a little adjustment, the motive can be almost as quiet as stock gears. Be sure to redo your pinion and carrier bearings. Good luck man

Stay away from Richmonds.......seriously...Motive or Strange I re-did my gears after a shop F34ked up the install. Got em almost quiet as stock . but Richmods completely suck...never heard anything good about them. Plenty of folks on here can tell you about them. I must say I can't tell the difference from switching the 323's to the 4.10's feels the same to me...except my speedo was kinda off...

ET:14.61@97.61mph, 60' 2.311 stock

Well judging by that 60' time I wouldn't expect any increase in ET. Going from 3:42 to 4:10 its only going to get worse unless you find better traction. I myself am going to stick with stock 3:42's until I get a cam big enough that I have to go lower or until I find better traction I suggest some LCA's with those 4:10s if your going to do them.
