Tach wont move! Need help...

Recently i just replaced my optispark and ICM, while i was doing such i also installed the cam, lifters and rr's i have listed in my sig, the car smokes slightly around the back of the engine bay (engine oil from the smell of it, nothing i cant fix if thats what the issue is) and the car was operating fine and normally for 2 days when i installed my new componenets, now all of a sudden my tach wont move...it wont even so much as bounce once in a while...i know nothing of this sort of problem or even what drives the tach, i know in old school motors it works off the distrib *shrugs* i need help and i need it bad, any sugguestions, repair instructions or pictures would be very helpful, thanks

Somthing happened with my speedo once, the needle was loose on the shaft. I had to take the clear lens off and press it back on.
