tach trigger wire location?

I have a proform shift light in my 95 trans am but it doesnt work, has power but never triggers. I want to make sure it is hooked up to the tach trigger wire. Anyone know the color and location of the wire off the hood? I assume it comes off the coil somewhere but I dont know which wire. Thanks!

white wire off the coil, or Pin 13, connector A(Red) at the PCM. Passenger side firewall

thanks, does the wire have a stripe? I found the shift light hooked up to a white wire with a stripe on the coil, but doesnt work. Factory tach works fine, so I guess the shift light is a dead player. I will double check all the connections.

white with black stripe at the coil, or white off the PCM
