Intake Manifold

Has anyone coated their manifold with high-temp ceramic paint? Would this help reduce heat soak or would it trap heat in the manifold? I am going to paint the whole exterior- underside of the manifold as well (everything except where the gaskets and bolt holes).

I was thinking that the unpainted parts where the heads meet would ultimately transfer heat and trap it in the manifold but I guess the gaskets might prevent any unpainted metal to metal contact at all right? Should be good for maybe a couple ponies and looks or is my thinking flawed?

The temp in sc in the summer can reach triple digits so I figure this could really benefit me.

Re: Intake Manifold

This is a complex question, I don't have an answer.

I will give this thread a bump.
