Tach is now pegged...

New opti
New wiring harness
New coil
New battery
New 02 extenders
New brakes

The car actually runs ok. However the tach pegged at 6000 and just stays there, even when it is off. I have no idea where to look. Any suggestions?

try pulling the plastic off and manually push it back down and see what happens when you start it.

Re: Tach is now pegged...

I can try it. I was thinking it may be indicative of electrical issues. I know before my opti craps out the tacj usually goes up and down until the car dies. I was thinking there may be something messed up other than a physical problem with the tach.

Thanks.
