ok my car is hard to shift every gear and sometimes reverse grinds but if you cut the car off and shift its smooth as butter what could this be?

 

Sounds like the clutch isn't fully disengaging. Maybe a master/slave cylinder leak?

 

Does it ALWAYS do it?

My car is the same way, SOMETIMES... I used to live in a place where I had to park outside on the street, and after sitting for a few days in the rain, my car would be like that...

However now I live in a place where I have underground parking, and my car has barely shown those symptons...

Some have suggested its moisture...

But I havn't narrowed it down, and there are quite a few people that have similar issues!
