T56 conversion almost complete ---->M6 install questions

I'm finishing up my swap. I just installed my flywheel, pressure plate and bellhousing. The book says torque the pressure plate to 15 pounds plus 30' and bellhousing to 26 pounds? Is correct seems like very little force?

Also I'm about to slide the trans in. I very highly doubt my alignment tool accurately lined up my clutch. Is there a way to hook up my clutch so I can just push the pedal and slide the trans in the rest of the way, I really don't want to use the bolts to pull it in the rest of the way. Give me some good advice.

What I do is when the tranny doesn't want to slide in that last 1/2" or so is put the slave cylinder on, put all the bolts in as tight as they will go WITHOUT forcing them and then give the clutch pedal a kick. The tranny should fall in that last little bit.

Thats what I did for my 86' Z28, it worked really good. The only reason I wasn't sure if it would work or not is because the clutch fork is on the front of the trans instead of in the bellhousing like on my 3rd gen. Thats what I'll do then.

Hey BTW is that the correct torque settings for the pressure plate and bellhousing?

To be honest with you, when I tighten up the PP bolts and the flywheel bolts too, I use a dead blow hammer and really tighten the sh*t out of them by hitting the ratchet with it. Better safe than sorry.
