T56 Clutch not disengaging?

hey, i'm doin a T56 swap in my 89 iroc and have come across a problem. when the car is on the ground, with clutch in it will not go into gear, but if we jack the rear up it goes into gear just fine. now we've noticed the clutch fork to be quite loose. my question is how tight does it need to be? how much play should i have? were pretty sure our clutch isn't fully disengaging when there is resistance (car on teh ground) but like i said once the back wheels are up in the air it runs like a champ.

thanks in advance!

btw i'm new here

No prob, just pointing it out since you are a new member. Hope you get your problems taken care of, I'm about to do the T56 swap in my 95 Z28 and hope all goes smoothly.
