T-top conversion, do I need rear trim pieces?

I did the t-top conversion. I got all the weatherstripping and the front A-pillar plastic. I haven't finished putting the interior back together yet cause the car is off for paint. But do I need to get the rear pillar trim pieces? From what I'm remembering I don't see where the plastic will wrap up around the little holes the t-top "pins" will lock into like the front pillars have. So do I just need to buy some other one's out of a t-top car or will mine work. I don't think it would even look that bad without them, I don't want it to look ghetto though. Thanks

I think you would need them cause woulden't you be able to see into the hole behind the bracket the the pin goes into? The piece is small so I coulden't see it being too expensive

Yeah you can see into the piece right now. I think of I get the trim what I need is everything on the sides of the back seats. The armrest, speaker, hanger thing, part. It's pretty big.

no actually it is just a small little plastic piece that covers the end up, I got all the stuff for my t-top conversion off a donar car (getting installed in 2 weeks or so) and there are 2 small pieces to cover the back part. You forsure don't have to change the whole back piece.

no problem, did you run into any comlications when you did your t-tops, or was it straight forward?

Hey I want to do this. What reference did you use? Are you in need of paint afterward. Where did you get the kit? Did you fiberglass the corners? Help !

Not a problem at all. I actually had originally rolled the car when it was a hardtop. So I had my body shop do the conversion for me when it was redone. They allowed me to be there and help them out when the top was done so I could see how it was going and make sure it was done how I wanted. Actually turned out to be very easy and straightforward. They had never done anything like that before and believe it or not with my guidance(somehow) and their expertise it went without a hitch. It didn't really require paint, but I had them redo it anyway. Now the car is actually getting repainted by someone else but they can leave the T-tops locked in since that's already all done. I'm so happy I got them, makes a world of difference in how much I love the car.
