T-56 Transmission Question
Hi, I have a 1997 Pontiac Trans Am with the Borg-Warner T-56 Transmission I am building a 396 ci stroker that will produce between 600-650 RWHP & Torque. I want to keep this transmission.
Can this transmission handle that kind of HP and torque?
Just answer the question on the transmission. I know the rear end won't handle it and I know the driveshaft won't handle it.
Alot of people on car forums LOVE to just barely touch the question you ask but they LOVVVVVVVE to add info about something you didn't ask.
I've got the rest of the drivetrain already taken care of. Strange 12 Bolt going in the rear with 3.73 gears and as for the driveshaft...Mark Williams Custom Carbon Fiber Driveshaft. Just answer the question on the tranmission. Thank you.
