As far as the CAM SENSOR??? What code are you getting to be exact?
t-56+opti
It only does it in 1st and it doesnt do it if i put it in 2nd then 1st. The code im not sure they told me it was a no crank signal would it also be that i put in a 97 opti on my 95. i thought they were all the same after 95.

Only the 1993 T56 did not come with "Skip Shift". All years newer than that have it.
There is no crank postition sensor on 93-95 LT1's. The crank position sensor was added in 1996-97 models to identify misifres. CKP failure on a 96/97 will not affect engine operation.
You can get two OptiSpark codes on a 93-95 that are related to what some people erroneously call a crank position sensor.... DTC 16 = loss of low resolution pulse from the OptiSpark. That signal is used to tell the PCM which cylinder is firing next, so it can fire the correct (sequential) fuel injector. DTC 36 = loss of high resolution pulse. That is the 720 pulse per 2 crank revs that the PCM uses to determine when to fire the spark on each cylinder.
Get a specific code..... some people use "generic" code lists that erroneously use terms like "crank position sensor" when they actually mean something else on an LT1.
