switching from Loudmouth to GMMG

ive decided to switch to GMMG from my Loudmouth b/c of the fact that i dont like the sound of teh Loudmouth under load....raspy....when in nuetral and revving it i like the sound tho

question is...... is the GMMG gonna sound noticeably lower that the LOudmouth.....i know the sound quality with be better but how much lower will the sounfd be ?
also will it be louder than the SLP 2OTL i had on my car ?

Much less rasp, much deeper tone. Not hollow sounding like the LM

So with that in mind, couldn't you just buy the chambered mufflers from Summit and have the same effect or no?

No, it sounds different. I've heard both, the chambereds dont sound bad, but definetly not like the GMMG.

already decided on the GMMG and pacesetter longtubes with fabbed high flow catted y-pipe......how would this settup sound?

would i need the LT4 knock module with the headers?

also how does madwolf programming work.....do i ship my PCM o him??
alls i woulkd need is the fan to kick on earlier...tune for the headers if i need it
at madwolf site what is Knock desensitizing? and if i got my rear o2s deleted out instead of getting the sims would it show up on a computer scan.....my new emmisions is coming up and they are doing computer scans now
thanks
bobby

First of all you'll LOVE the GMMG. I will never own an F-Body without one. All I can say is enjoy

Second you shouldnt need a tune strictly for headers/GMMG and to get the fans to turn on lower. You could just get a manual fan switch and LT4 KM. That is personally what I would do. But tunes on any car stock or modified are helpful to say the least.

Oh and BTW, I love when all the LS1 guys at the club used to brag about their Loudmouths and ever since I got my GMMG, they dont brag anymore and all show signs of chronic envy

Go with the GMMG. Since I installed my slashcut tips the other day it snaps a little at certain throttle positions but it sounds awesome with LTs. No rasp whatsoever!

Bobby,
even though the knock retard can be desensitized through programming, I would also highly recommend an LT4 knock module.

The way it works is either you mail me the PCM, complete the order sheet and payment on the website, or you pay something called a "core charge" (security deposit) and I will send you another PCM. Then once I get yours back, you get your deposit back minus $10 for the exchange service. This will minimize your downtime.

I can disable the rear o2s through programming, but you will need a pair of o2 sims for when the emission time comes in order to pass. You can just borrow them for that half an hour from someone.

With your modifications, I would recommend a full tune. I guarantee you will see at least 13 RWHP from it and an increase in your gas mileage.

Thank the lord. You've seen the bright light. Throw that LM in the trash.
