Sweet Injector sizing charts that I made up!

Check out this chart, could be pretty helpful. As I was sitting here trying to figure out what size injectors to go with, I decided to go learn the math, and come up with some spreadsheets to illustrate the differences PSI, BSFC, and DC can make.

Keep in mind there are THREE DIFFERENT TABS at the BOTTOM of the page, There's 3 different charts in this file.

http://paradox.shacknet.nu/dave88lx/.../injectors.htm

For an example of how it can be used:

Starting at tab 3, looking at that chart, say I want to maintain 80% injector duty cycle (Which is what seems to be the standard reccomendation), and want to crank out 550 HP at the flywheel. Estimated BSFC to be is .45, (But you can choose whichever BSFC you think it will be); then I need 38.67 lbs of fuel per hour.

Going to tab 1, I can run an SVO 36# injector (Blue columns) at 46PSI and get 39 lbs of fuel/hour.

Or, I can get an injector that's got it's rating taken at the 43.5 PSI (In the Chevy column colored Red), and run that 36# injector at 51 PSI and get 39 lbs of fuel/hour that is needed.

The middle tab just illustrates at 75%, 80%, 85%, and 90% injector duty cycle, with different size injectors, and BSFC, how much HP the injector can support.

Seems it could turn pretty useful, no?

Let me know if you don't understand something.

Thank ya!

I believe I read not to go over 60 PSI, but I think it's Injuneer that's hitting like 73PSI under boost

No... I run Bosch 64#/HR injectors, at 58psi (4 bar) = ~78#/HR flow.

But... the NOS 5176 dry nitrous kit that I used to use ran the fuel pressure at 85-90psi when the system sprayed... and the pintle style injectors (Bosch, SVO, FMS, Accel) seemed to survive just fine.
