Swapping rear ends....
Swapping rear ends....
Did a search, with no clear answers.
I have a chance to get a rear end from an LS1 car with only 35K on it. It is a full rear end with the rotors, calipers, and LCAs, ABS, and Traction Control. My car does have ASR (traction control). I understand that there may be a difference in the e-brake, but I'm in Oklahoma (flat) so I can get that fixed later. Will there be anything else I need to do for the swap????

the only difference should be in the parking brake cables, i switched from stock LT1 rears to LS1 rear brakes and needed to change the parking brake cable at the same time,
other then the differences you already mentioned you should be good to go!
the way the brake lines are run along the axle might be slightly different but it shouldnt be anything to worry about if its a problem at all

I've read that you'll:
1) Need to swap the backing plate for the brakes
2) Will run into some differences in the ABS connectors
I've looked into it somewhat, as I'd rather swap the whole rearend, rather that trust someone to setup new gears for me correctly.
