Question SVO 24# injectors

has anyone used the svo 24# injectors , is it true that since ford 's fuel pressure is somewhere around 30 psi that when they are put in a gm car with 45-47 psi that they are near 26# , I thought that all fuel injectors were rated at 3 bar(43.3 psi) so it should not matter what ford 's fuel pressure is since they all are test'ed at 3 bar, I know that when you raise or lower the fuel pressure you change the amount of fuel passing through the nozzle.

Not all injectors are rated at 3.0bar (43.5psi). GM OEM RP injectors are rated at 3bar, and that's the set-point of the non-adjustable fuel pressure regulator in the LT1's. SVO injectors are apparently rated at 2.7bar (39.15psi). That would mean they would flow 5.4% more when operated at 43.5psi.....

(P2/P1)^0.5

...yielding about 25.3#/HR. But that assumes the flow rating of the SVO is "exactly" 24#/HR. We all know that GM programs the stock PCM with a flow rate of 24.896#/HR for an injector nominally sized at 24#/HR.

LS1 injectors are rated and operate at 4bar (58psi).

Just like Fred said The only injectors I know of rated in the low 30psi area are going to be OLD, my turbo engine has 29# disc injectors rated at 34 PSI.
