It's 2% more displacement.

you never know what you are going to find when you tear into a vehicle bought used. I would imagine the gains would be the same since you started with the 40 over pistons. Dont be surprised to find a small aftermarket cam already in there.

i never had the car dynoed before i started this project so i don't really know where its gonna be at, i just figured that having a little more displacement i would see some more gains

ok, pulled the cam out, just a stock cam, everything else looks stock and cylinder walls look brand new, i have had this car for a year and a half but haven't put that many miles on it, the guy before me must have put this together right before he sold it. do you think i shoudl just pull the motor completely since its down to a shortblock right now anyway, just to make sure it is together right since i will probably be revvign up to 6800rpm

I would check what pistons are in there. For a LE1 I don't think you have to worry about crank/rods too much, just as long as good pistons were used on the rebuild. Check your cam bearings too.
