Surge at cold idle?

Surge when COLD? SCANMASTER GUYS!!!
Just got my delteq system put on with new wires and plugs. It seems to kind of surge at idle when it is cold and do it worse when it goes into gear. It seems to clear up though once the car warms up and it runs like a freight train. Any idea on what this could be guys?

Re: Surge at cold idle?
When I first start it when cold it kind of takes a little longer than usual. I then put it into gear and the RPM's drop like it is almost going to die and then it kinda pops back up. This happens each time when I come to a complete stop and then proceed to go again. Any ideas guys? I am kinda in the pits when it comes to money right now. I just hope this is a CHEAP fix.

Re: Surge at cold idle?
*Here is another update*
This morning I started up the car and it sounded like my car had a huge cam in it. It kept on loping really really bad. I then put it into gear and it surged and came back up. I tried driving to class the way it was and when i was slowly accelerating it caused everything to shake and the car was just stumbling like crazy. Then 20 seconds later it would clear up for a second or two and then go back to running like crap. It didn't stop running bad until I reached school where the car had warmed up. Does this still sound like the same problem??

Re: Surge at cold idle?
I don't want to highjack your thread nor do i know what's wrong with your car but i have something similiar. It just started happening since it got cold when i start up my car it'll idle high like go up to 1500 when i first start it a few seconds later it drops and idles around 1100-1300 until it warms up a little and then it's fine. Is this just because it's cold outside? Car runs fine other than that. Just when it's cold it idles high till it warms up for a few minutes. Ohh ya it's a m6 just for refrence.

Re: Surge at cold idle?
Check your spark plugs or wires. I know you just put a delteq on and you wouldnt think it was your wires or plugs, but every single time I have had a surging problem it has been a wire.

Re: Surge at cold idle?
I checked all my connections for the plug wires and they are all very snug. I also checked out each connection for every sensor I could think of and they were all tight. I am supposed to talk with a delteq tech tomorrow when my car is cold and acting up again. We are going to try and narrow down the problem hopefully.

Re: Surge at cold idle?
Just went out and started up the car, totally cold. Still runs terrible. I went ahead and jotted down every number off of my scanmaster while it was running like crap. I know a lot of these numbers look really funky but usually get a lot better once the car warms up. All of these numbers were taken in a parking lot when the engine was COLD. Tell me what you guys think...

Re: Surge at cold idle?
Well the Delteq tech had me try out a different opti-box last night. Well the new opt-box did nothing and actually seemed like it made things a little worse. I am not sure what to really try next.

Re: Surge at cold idle?
Not sure what to try out next. The car will run terrible when it is cold but if I punch it and can get it above 2k RPM then it seems to clear up drastically. Anybody ever heard of something like this before??
