Supercharger

So ya im looking to buy a 97 or so z28 before i go to the airforce. and when i get back im looking to drop a supercharger into it. now a quick question to the pros what is the best type to get. and if u have a idea of about how much HP/trq it would boost me up to and maby a idea it would run in the quarter mile with only that mod in a automatic. yes an automatic, so dont flame me. but ya anyways thx for the input.

not going to be harsh since you are new member, but check out the "forced induction" section of the message board. It would be better suited for your type of question.

my car had ran a 13.8@ 102 before I put my ATI procharger on mine that was with edelbrock headers and a borla cat back system, with no tuning (sence i Have a 93 and you have to burn chips) when I put the blower on there with the 9 lb pully I ran a 12.26 @ 115 MPH 1.96 60 foot time on street tires, so it cut over a 1.5 seconds off my time, just be forwarned tho, most peoples motors dont last to long running that much boost, they tend to get blow by and start to smoke out the back. if you want to run boost you should build a all forged bottom end for it.
