Most likely you fould your plugs from running rich.

Try just replacing the drivers side(because those are easy) and se if it fires up better. If it does then replace the other half.

YOu also need find out why you are running so rich or you are going to do more damage then just fouling your plugs...if you havnt all ready

Hard start, and then running excessively rich may be related to a failed coolant temp sensor. Is the SES light on? Do you have access to a scanner to look at the sensors and other engine operating parameters through the PCM?

Why not measure the fuel pressure with a gauge before spending money on a fuel pressure regulator?

Why would you just start buying parts and throwing them at the car?? You do know that you can check your fuel pressure with a gauge, don't you? There's no sense in us trying to help if you're not going to diagnose the problems before you randomly purchase parts based on what the local part store guy thinks. BTW, punctuation is a good thing.

Edit: Injuneer beat me to it. I had the window open for a while and didn't refresh.

This happened to me and it was the coolant sensor on the front of the motor. It would crank and crank and finally turn over, then you could smell the fuel when it WAS running. It wound up flooding my crank case with fuel and my oil smelled like 93 octane. I would definately not drive it very long without making sure it isnt that coolant sensor and smelling/checking your oil to make sure there is no fuel in it.

Do you realize its very simple to test things like the coolant temp sensor, rather than running out and buying a new one, and finding out that it wasn't the problem?

Did you check the fuel pressure with a guage? That would confirm the suspicions your "smell test" generated?

LS1 fuel injectors are typically rated at higher than 24#/HR, unless he it giving you the "derated" flow capacity, based on the fact that the LS1 injectors are flow rated at a higher pressure (58psi) than the LT1 injectors (43.5psi).

Thanks for the info what am I looking for the fuel pressure guage to do?

o and i don't mind replacing a 5.00 sensor for saftey sake. The opti needed
to be replaced before I got the car and it fixed the surging above 4k
not being snotty but little things like 5.00 sensors and a 8.00 tps is just good
precaution.
