summit rebuild kit

i found a rebuild kit for an lt1 in summit and was wondering how good it would be? says the comp ratio is 10.4:1 with a 58.22cc head, isint that lower than stock? what is stock? what is the stock head volume? its the speed pro kit for like 589 also it uses forged flat top pistons and i would probably use my stock crank, but maybe jump up to forged rods, at the least better bolts for my stock rods, would this make for a pretty solid bottom end? capable of handling some power? possibly le3 power?

that speed pro kit would be good, and work fine for what you want. The stock rods should work fine too(if your willing to put money in them.

I think you would be better off with a SRP flat top -5cc and a Eagle ESP rod.......but it all depends on your final goal...cam how hard you spin it etc.

That kit is decent for a low RPM car. Upgrade to 4 bolt mains and some better rods and you should be able to have a reliable LE3.
