i am ready to purchase a cutout, just wanted to double check the size, 3"s right? also summit has 3" cutouts for $26.??. thats the cheapest i've found, is there any thing wrong with these? last question(s), how much should a shop charge for a hotcam install in a 94Z and any shops reccomended in San Diego area? thanks for the help.

I have a Summit 3" cutout on my car with the stock 2.75" pipe...you just have to get the ends flared so that the cutout can be welded on. There's nothing wrong with them, just make sure to WD the threads everyonce in awhile or the wing nuts won't come off!

A shop that knows what a pain in the **** an LT1 f-body is will charge you from $500-1000 depending on the shop. I've been given a quote of about $450 from one local place, but got another for $950... both of them performance shops 100% familiar with the car.

If the shop isn't 100% familiar with 4TH GENERATION f-bodies, don't even drive up and ask.

My hot cam install ran me about a grand, but that included a lot of new parts (although most of them were taken off already...) and they also changed the wires.
