Has anyone oame out yet to back up Summit's claim that their new electric water pump can really last ten thousand hours? For $153 dollars it seems like a hard deal to pass up if the pump can really last that long.

 

Looks like it only flows 30 gpm, I'll stick with the Mez HD 55gpm, I love driving fast for hours at a time.

I checked the site and did not see a 10,000 hour rating.

It is listed in their catalog that it has a 10,000 hour rating.

I cant find if they replace it though free of charge like Meziere almost always will.

Unfortunatly, there is not enough information out on it yet. And I dont want my car to turn into the guinne pig so ... Take whats tried and true as far as something like this goes.

 

I have the CSR pump. Works great, may have less volume but still flows plenty. There is another thread like this from yesterday.

 

Dude that would last 4ever. But I doubt thats true

My trip computer says I average just about 40 mph in normal suburban driving. 10,000 hrs is 400,000 miles. Even if you do a lot of stop and go in your hot street car and average 10 mph, that's 100,000 miles.

I also wonder how well they back it up.

 

And if you take 10,000/ by 24 hours that comes to 416.66 of straight days of driving.
I guess it's time for a trip somewhere.

 

If anyone finds out what their policy is on bad pumps, post it on here ...

They really dont seem bad.

They outflow the CSR, and the Meziere. But the Meziere HD outflows it by a good amount.

 

CSR 30-37 GPM $149.88
Summit 30 GPM $152.95

 

Id go with the CSR.

 

Look in summits mail order catalog. It has them listed higher than 30 GPM.
