Suggestions on Dual Exhaust

I am in the process of making a true dual exhaust system for my 95 camaro. I have hooker LT's and a universal dr. gas x pipe. I will be buying 2 high flow converters since I will be needing to pass emmissions. What would be your suggestions for the rest of the exhaust? I was thinking of two dynomax bullets with 2.5 inch stainless steel pipes all the way. Let me know if you have anyother suggestions. I am just looking for the car to be loud and deep sounding and also gaining some performance. The engine is a 97 with a hot cam and soon to be ported heads. If you know what will work good with the set up...all suggestions are fully welcomed. Will the bullets hinder my ability to pass emissions? Basically, do you think the bullets will sound good with this set up and make good power or should I go with something else. I guess I could of just said that!

Do you think the bullets will fit under there better? Will they even sound that deep...I haven't really gotten to hear excatly what thy sound like. I like the sound of the loudmouth...but for 32.00 a piece you can't beat the bullets. Has anyone heard anything on that new bassani exhaust...they came out with some universal mufflers and a complete package for the LS1. I know they sound good on the old 5.0's and even the new 4.6's. I guess with the lack of bite the mustangs posses they need to atleast have a bark. I will take that tradeoff any day.

I have True duals with an h-pipe setup. I chose H cause i didnt like the high pitched sound the x pipe made. I have some short videos of my exhaust in my sig below. There are also some pics for you to see my clearance. I plan on lowering my car 1in. My duals have more ground clearance than my stock catback.

well I went with 3inch into X then 2.5 out, only reason was I didn't want to be droned out my seat on the highway. I think with the cats and dynomax, it will sound very good. The cats will make them much quieter. I think if you went with anything more restrictive than dynomax racing muffler you would be unhappy, cause the sound will be real quiet. My cherry bombs are the same design only very long, most people say they sound like open exaust, but they are actually quieter than my stock exhasut at idle. Those dynomax fit real well under the car, the X will sacrifice some clearance cause of the torque arm, but its not bad, you'll have to stop at speed bumbs, in order to keep from scraping. As long as you have cats, you should pass emissions, just make sure they are close to the headers to keep them hot, which helps them do there job better. Some states check visually and don't like anything but the stock setup and location, this is modifing the vehicle, so make sure this isn't a problem. Oh your going to love them, the sound and power is great!

The vids were bad! I really like how the car sounds. I have the X Pipe, but have never heard how it sounds on a camaro. I know it sounds good on the fox body. If it sounds high pitched then I will definately not install it. If anyone knows or has vids or avis on it please pass it along. So far, I love the sounds of those bullets...you can hear them from a mile away...literally!!!

D James...the reason why I got the X pipe was because the flow through them was suppose to be less restrictive than the H pipe and would be just as efficient in sound and even more power. Maybe I am wrong, that is just what I have heard from a couple of people. Is the pitch of the X pipe not desireable? I have never heard it on a camaro...and very little people seem to have them...they have a custom Y pipe...but I just don't see how a Y pipe is a true dual? Are Y pipes more efficient or produce more HP?

Exhaust looks real clean...I want similar except I have to run my all the way back since they legally have to be in my town. Brother has his dumped under the drivers and passagers seat and got a nice ticket for it. I guess bullets are the way to go unless there are other suggestions...

Yea that definetly is a downside to an H-pipe. Drone is really really deep.

No No, its not a "Bad" high pitch. I should have said "higher" pitched. It sounds good its just alot different than you would think between an X and H pipe. Besides if you decided to go X or H pipe later you can always get it switched out. I just decided to go with the H pipe and hold back a little horsepower for the H pipe sound. If you like the X pipe sound better then your in luck. You have the max flow and horsepower and the sound you like.
