This sucks!

Yesterday i totaled my 93 z28 with 55,000 miles It was perfect! I was going down the highway when it was raining and i was only doing 50mph and it hydroplaned the *** end slid around and hit the meadian. It sucks i loved that car. BUT......

I HAVE to get another camaro i only had that car for 8 months and i LOVED every minute of it! So i was looking into this car. It is a 95 Z28 6 speed 89k with -Comp 306 Cam
-Crane 1.6 Gold RR's
-Crane Springs
-Comp Pushrods
-Underdrive Pulley
-BBK Headers and Y
-Flowmaster Cat Back Cut a little short
-K&N FIPK
-Holley 58mm TB
-MSD coil
-MSD 8.5 Super Conductor Wires
-Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
-B&M short throw shifter
-Alum. Driveshaft
-SLP white face guage overlay
-subframeconnectors
-3.42 rear
leather, bose, and keyless entry. Its purple with zr1's on it I think that he is asking $6500 does this sound like a good deal?? Is that as solid mid 12 second car?

Re: This sucks!

I'd have a compression check done and make sure the motor's not "hurt".

Re: This sucks!

I doubt that car will see mid 12 sec passes. You may see a couple of HIGH 12 sec passes, IMO. Sounds like a pretty good deal though...

If your looking for a nice car, you can check out my friends T/A.. Heads and cam car.. made 381 rwhp on the dyno....

I know this car well and it drives very well.. Car runs awesome, and I am actually really sad to see him sell it.

Good luck with whatever you do!

Re: This sucks!

What are you gonna do with your old car? I might be interested if you can get it from your insurance company!

Re: This sucks!

My car IS driveable. When i hit it hit right AFTER the axle on the passanger side. The body shope that i work at said that he could do it for $4000 and if i had full coverage he would definatly fix it b/c of the super low miles. He said that the car would have to go to the frame puller. The car drives like nothing happened to it. The rest of the car seriously looks like it did the day it rolled off the showroom floor. If you are interested then pm and we will talk.

Re: This sucks!

Well i found this car on another board and i looked back at his old posts. The car with all that ran a 14.3 with 2.7 60 fts. In the post he said it was with bald tires and a sliping clutch. I thought that even .1 on your 60fts equals .2 at the end of 1/4 so it should run like a low 13 high 12???? Also the way he talks he kinda runs it hard. Since the car only has 89k even if it been run hard it still should be fine right? Everyone tells me that LT1 is very durable whats your thoughts on this?? Please help i am confused!

Re: This sucks!

It actually ran a 14.3 at palmdale with me at the wheel... I will tell you right now, that car couldnt get traction through 3 gears... That car has 12 secs written all over it! And in his defense he also had a bad plug wire that was arcing on one of the header primaries. Also if you did not know, Palmdale is at quite a bit of altitude, so there is a correction involved in the final et, and the 14.3 is not the corrected number... If you do the NHRA correction, that 14.3 turns into a 13.87... not too bad for no traction and a bad plugwire...

As far as how hard he drives the thing, I will honestly vouch that he is the most sane driver out of our group (www.gmeternal.com) and only gets on it enough to keep the carbon off of the pistons. The car is seriously clean, and I was even thinking about buying it, but with one dead f-body that will be getting a built 355 soon, I have no money to spare..

Brad is a straight shooter, and if you have any questions, you can contact him, he wont steer you wrong. Or you can ask me. Like I said, I know this car and it is really clean...

See Ya!
