Changed plugs, wires, PCV valve, and fuel filter. PCV took all of 2 min., filter took about 15 min. Plugs and wires took all of the rest. Removed Alternator, battery, and belt tensioner, that's it. Did drivers side plugs last night in about half an hour. Got to the front 3 from the top and the back one from the bottom. Did passenger side today and what a PITA. Took me 10 min. to get the front 3 out and 45+ just to get the last one out. Took about the same time to put them all in. I had to get to all the plugs from the top, good thing I have long arms. One inch shorter and I woulda been screwed. I think it'd be a lot easier without the Y-pipe on. After I ran all the wires real nicely she fired right up. It's probably just me but the car seems to idle smoother now. Haven't taken it out on the road yet. It started snowing tonight. You don't understand how happy I am to have that obstacle over with. I've been dreading it for months. I was gonna wait and do it during the LT install later this spring but the car decided it just wasn't gonna run right anymore, I had to do it now. I'm sure I'll have a blast rerouting the wires again after the LT's are done. Do you think that heat reflective tape would work on the wires keeping them safe? One thing though, I'm pretty confident I could redo it now in probably less than half the time. I know what all I need to remove, what tools I need, what to do,etc. Good luck to anyone that needs to do this soon.
I didn't drink a single beer the first night. Atleast not until after. We went bowling and my hands were almost too sore to bowl well lol. The second afternoon I went through almost an 18 pack. Sure helped me to relax and keep my temper down, that's for sure.
