stutter, possible miss
stutter, possible miss
last year i did a total top end change on my 94 lt1. it currently has the le1 heads with cc306 cam, ported intake, and 1.6 rockers. 4.10's 3000 stahl. bolt ons. i have a mail order tune in it right now but can't get it on the dyno until i fix this. when i first start it up it runs great but once you start driving or gets warm it almost sounds like a miss fire up to 3000 rpms and then takes off like a bat outta hell. i originally posted this problem a year ago and was told possibly the coil was getting hot, so i replaced it and spaced it away from the block a bit. when it does this it throws a code for a minute or two. but the only code i have ever found on it was that an o2 sensor is bad which were supposively deleted on the tune. any help as to where i should look. could it be a valve adjustment problem?
You indicate the O2 sensors were "supposedly deleted on the tune"? Are you running an open loop tune? You can't delete the pre-cat O2 sensors and still run in closed loop.
What is the specific O2 sensor code you are getting?

when i ordered the tune it had a box to check to have the o2 sensors deleted. i would assume that it would be the post cat ones. i don't remember what the code number was, i only remember finding out it was a bad o2 sensor. i won't be around her to run it again until next week
all i can recall is that it was a bad o2 sensor. and i know it only runs crappy in closed loop. i just don't know if that could cause it. hopefully i will be able to put it on a scanner tomorrow. the check engine light only comes on when its running bad at idle. not when driving, but still runs bad
Since there are no after-cat O2 sensors in OBD-I, you can delete the cat without causing any codes of any kind.
