Stupid SR lifter tie bar Question

Is it ok if the tie bar sits to the inside of the lifter valley so they face each other? In other words, the tie bar is facing the center of the block side of the lifter, not the head side of the lifter.

If the tie bar is placed on the block side it hits the block, but I just want to make sure that its ok to put on inside. I dont see why not, but never hurts to ask.

Thanks.
