Stupid question but what's the difference in 2 bolt and 4 bolt main?

Stupid question but what's the difference in 2 bolt and 4 bolt main?
Just like subject says....i want to know the difference of 2 bolt and 4 bolt main blocks.....

On a 2 bolt block the 3 inner main caps, that hold the crank in the block each have 2 bolts holding them to the block. On a 4 bolt they have 4.
