Stupid newbie question.
Stupid newbie question.
Right now I am doing the Free Mods to my car. taking out my back seat jack tire..what not. I havent really worked on any of the induction. I usually just mess with exhaust.
What is the Throttle body bypass? And what is the best bang for the buch in induction.. I heard moroso alot. I need sumthing that wont mess with my sensors.
I know it may sound like a stupid question..but I am still learning.

Re: Stupid newbie question.
I can't speak for Moroso, as I have a K&N FIPK II which I got for $200 shipped to my door, but it works fine. Here is a how-to on the Throttle Body Bypass:

I think the only difference for a non-95 to 97 is that you need some 3/8" fuel line (about a foot) or something like that. Someone with a pre 95 could chime in and help you.

Re: Stupid newbie question.
If you're looking for bang for the buck, on my 94 I bought some cold air intake from E-bay for $30. It was a simple polished aluminum pipe that went from the air intake duct and went right to the bottom of the where your air filter housing would normally be. I had a noticable increase in throttle response, as well as a nice whoosh sound when I'd stomp on the gas. I also upgraded the crappy cone filter that came with it with a K&N standard cone which helped some too. I can get the part # if you need it. Can't be dissapointed for $30, when you could easily spend the $220 for the K&N FIPK system.
Re: Stupid newbie question.
Moroso is one of the cheaper intakes on the market and it is an overall good kit. However, it is a big matter of personal preference when it comes to choice of intake. A search will yield you alot of information about various brand, prices, fitment, quality, ect. Good luck with you car.
