You need to use a hub puller on it. A claw type pulley puller won't work.

First, remove the crank bolt with a 5/8" socket, then thread it back in about halfway. Install the puller as shown in the picture above, making sure the center bolt will align straight into the crank. Tighten the center bolt and draw the hub out. Once the hub hits the bolt head, you'll need to remove the puller and the crank bolt, and replace it with the longer 3" bolt you bought, to finish the process. Use anti-seize on the crank bolts as you use them.

Re: stupid crank hub balancer!!!1

i went to checker and rented a hub removal tool. i got the screw that was in the hub and only threaded it in maybe 3 or 4 threads, then the hub reomval tool on top and screwed it off. i got my front cover off, but ripped my oil pan gasket in the front. damn it. i have another oil pan gasket, but i really do not want to drop the oil pan, i might try to ghetto fab something, and i think i am saving pulling the cam out for tomorrow. i tried taking my valve springs off, but then realized i didn't have directions or have a clue, so i think i'll wait until tomorrow when my friend gives me a hand.
