Got a tranny problem and no one can figure out what it is. I just had it rebuilt with shift kit, servo, kevlar bands, etc. Anyway, when I'm driving the car, whenever it feels like, it will get stuck in 2nd gear. When the shifter is in OD, and I let off the gas, it goes into like a neutral mode and if I give it gas, it has to catch back up to 2nd gear. Strange huh? Well, it gets stranger. After I get 2nd up to about 4000 rpm's, I can let the rpm's drop and rev the car (while in neutral mode) and it will shift into 3rd. I had to put my cat back on for emissions purposes and it didn't do it bad at all. Take the cat off and make it louder, it does it more frequently. And open the cut out and the damn thing sticks in 2nd and won't come out! Not even using the method explained. Has anyone heard of anything doing this before?
