Remove traction control?

I have a 97 z with that traction control system and I put on a ss hood and ram air and it's in the way. How do I disable and remove the stuff, is it a bad idea?

Not a bad idea at all. Its in my way too. You have to get the throttle cable and cruise control cable from a non ASR equipped car. But you lose ABS though because both systems are interconnected. I want to do this too but no one has said how to keep ABS and disable the ASR.

HOW DO YOU KEEP THE ABS FUNCTION AND DITCH ASR?????

Although traction control can be very annoying on dry wheather (especially on burnouts!), it saved my butt many times in the rain! Instead of completely disabling it, I would put a switch that would let you turn it on whenever you want to!
