Stumbling, erratic idle, dies

95 Caprice with L99 (same sensors as lt1). Engine runs perfect for a few minutes when cold, but then starts to sputter, then it runs really rough and dies. It will start back up, but each time it will die within about 30 seconds doing the same thing. The motor is pinging real bad when this happens. I unhooked the IAT, MAF, MAP, and Temp sensor in the wp and it none of them seemed to pinpoint the problem (although it ran for the longest time (about 10 mins) with the temp sensor out of the wp (maybe just a coincidence). There are no codes, so I cannot just scan it and find an answer. I have access to two other LT1's so I can swap sensors, just want a spot to start at. BTW, pulled the TB elbow off and there was white smoke pouring out of it.

ICM! Ignition Control Module. Located, above the coil, driver side head.

Re: Stumbling, erratic idle, dies

Swapped out ICM and is still doing the same thing. Now, after a while the low oil light comes on the dash which has never happened(oil level is fine). Still same symtoms though, runs fine for about 5 minutes and then goes crazy. WTF?? Also when it starts running strange the idle seems to go up like you are mashing the gas pedal then it just shuts off on its own. I need to get this fixed asap as the car is not drivable and I don't want to have to tow it anywhere.
