stumble after long tube install

i just installed pasecetter long tubes, im running open headers. until i can afford some piping, anyways the car stumbles and misses when itwarms up, its fine for like 10 min then it starts acting up. could this be a fryed wire? or does the computer take some time to learn it has headers? sry for my lack of knowledge.

I don't know that much either but, it could be something about the outside air and your 02 sensor and it confusing the computer? Im probably wrong but i figured i'd give it a shot.

Re: stumble after long tube install

My friend drove his car about 1.5hrs one night with open headers down the interstate to a shop to have them fab up a y-pipe. For I'd say most of the trip the car ran great, then all of a sudden it started to just go bonkers. Running choppy and such as part throttle. As soon as the y-pipe was put on it ran great, no issues. I once heard that the atmospheric air so close to the 02 sensor could confuse it. Blaze has the same idea as me it sounds. Just a thought, get the rest of the exhaust on and see what happens. Good luck.

If you wanted to run open headers could you use O2 simulators to correct this problem?

No. Stumbles because air is getting in to your O2s. You need 12-16" of tubing after the O2s.
