I'm in high school so money in my pocket is like ummm hardly every there?? I was thinking of a kit around $1000 or less.

To be honest you are not going to be able to find a decent kit for that price range. You may want to call up Summit. Remember there is cost involved in machining the block and balancing the rotating assembly unless you buy a kit is balanced.
You get what you pay for and for $1000 you're gonna get junk if you're looking for a complete kit.
You might wanna consider doing some other mods rather than a stroker.
Strokers always have hidden costs.

Jeg's has 2 kits from Eagle. Already balanced with Dampener and Flexplate one was less than $1K the other was like $1100.00.
If your gona blow or spray, you need to 4 bolt it. That means align bore. $200 to $500.00 for that step alone.
My only suggestion is do it right so you only do it once.
