Stroker
Stroker
I need to rebuild my engine, I've heard you can get a stroker from having the machine shop do something to the crank? Is this true, and does it have any reliability issues? I'm not planning on going any farther on this engine, I just would like a lil extra till I can build another engine. If this were possible, would I have to do anything else?
Someone I talked to said that they blew their engine cause they did this. I don't know if they were using a power adder, and this just weakens it or something. I just want a nice daily driver for the moment, and I figure a lil extra power from something I have to do anyway wouldn't be bad.
Thanks

Re: Stroker
Use the "search" function. This has been covered many times. However, what they do is use a 400 crank instead of a 350. They change the stock stroke to 3.75 and thats basically how you get a 383.
