The plug on my # 1 cylinder was cross threaded when I pulled it out it took a little bit of the threads out with it(maybe a thread or two), the new plug goes in without a problem, can I get away with this or should I pull the head and have it repaired?

Run a plug tap in the hole and put some anti sieze on all the plugs.Probably partially siezed and not cross threaded. No anti sieze will do it every time.
