I bought mine "used" from a friend.... complete Street Twin clutch, bellhousing, modified hydraulics, T56 and a ballistic blanket for the bell housing for $1,000. I used the clutch for about a year with no problems, then sold my whole M6 drivetrain with the clutch, Pro 5.0, skip shift eliminator, for $1,900.
only one person thanks for the help
one more time and then i give up : (

Just curious... did you do a "search" on "Street Twin"? I know there was a thread about it in the last week. You could PM the several people who posted their experiences on that thread....
Just a thought.
As far as balancing the flywheel, mine was balanced by the original buyer. I left it alone. The past problems had to do with modifying the stock slave cylinder to get full release and the proper engaement, but that problem is supposedly solved with McLeod's adjustable master cylinder. (more $$$$).

yea I did a search but, the info I was looking for was not in the search results that I found. thats why I asked for a little help.
by the way I called McLeod and they said you balance the flywheel to match your old one and have the pressure plate checked for neutral balance george at Mcloed stated that the pressure plate should be already balanced to 0. and they also stated that the kit includes everything including the master cylinder.
FYI AcA has the clutch for $800 plus shipping, but i bought mine from thunder racing for an excellent price also because i have bought stuff from them in the past and they also had it in stock and angie is an awesome person to work with and they also had the trans blanket that i needed also.

I paid well under 1K for mine.. Its no harder to install than a stock clutch just have to pay attention when you pull itout of the box as it comes fully assembled and balanced.. Marked w/ a blue stripe last time i did mine.. Whenyou take it apart there are lil' thin shim's.. They are in a specific order.> Don't mix them up.. You willhave problems.. and every clutch is tested for release by les prior to shipment.. so if its messed up.. Its your fault..
and the way you take it apart is exactly the way it goes together.. The slave has a lil' rubber oring.. VERY EASY TO LOOSE.. keep a tab on it.. The slave is a gorgeous piece.. ONly problem i have had w/ my Twin is it breaks everything behind it.. and i mean everything.. Twisted 4 steel driveshaft's along w/ the spline's on the slip yoke, obliterated a 1LE aluminum one, a t56 output shaft and a True Trac LSD for my 9" .. But the clutch is still good.. I sent it out after i had a problem w/ the bolton my clutch fork walking out and they rebuilt it and had it sent back out the next day for less than what you would pay for a stock replacement clutch.. Great customer service w/ a very good sense of humor.. Engagement is as smooth as a stock clutch w/ that performance clutch feel.. Sheessh shouldn't i be charging mcleod for this info..
but you won't be dissappointed.. my car as long as its a m6 will see no other clutch.. Ever..

Thanks again Steve

Mcleod balance's the whole entire assy. as one piece so it all comes done and you throw it together as sent to you.. its all marked down the side w/ a line you line ALL the lines up and voila its back the way it came.. this is the critical part.. Along w/ no losing the correct order of the shim's .. which is as critical as the alignment of the pieces.. Any more ?'s feel free to email me at plattners@enterprise.navy.mil
and yes you did buy the right clutch.. you'll never need anything else other than a few new driveshafts..

thanks for the help. what rpm do you launch at to break all those parts? you are making decent power but damn that alot of broken parts!! I hope i dont break as much stuff!! you see what i have in the power department i just cant wait to see what this thing will do with tration i hope to be in the 11s with the parts i have on the stock long block and everthing. what are your 60 ft times??
dont be surprised when you get a few email when i get this clutch on friday or monday

well i have left anywhere from 6K all the way down.. i break alot of stuff cause my car is so damned heavy.. 3811 race weight.. 26x11.5x15 Et streets and a 9" w/ 3.70's now replaced by 4.11's hopefully we'll get outta the hole a little better w/ less strain on the drivetrain.. I had one outstanding pass last year unforunatley i figured it was sooo good that i'd call it a day.. Well it was a 2800rpm slip it out and when it catches let it out and floor it.. Well it was only a 1.9060ft but the et change was so dramtic i went 12.78@107.5 @3811lbs.. If you go easy and not give the drivetrain the shock of dumping at 5K like my dumb ***.. You'll be fine.. You on a stock rear?? W/ the twin on my motor i can spin 1st,2nd,scratch 3rd,and bark 4th.. i co0uldn't do that w/ any of the 4 star cluthes i have had.. I haven't really had a day likei have wanted to just go out and play on the 60ft line.. as honda's now take up over 90% of our track clean up time..
So.. hopefully this year i'll be able to play on the line much more and learn to drive..
i'm sending you a email w/ some pics in a minute too..

you can't use a twin w/o a mcleod flywheel.. its significantly different than a stocker.. but the twin's prices are factored in w/ a steel or a aluminum flywheel included.. don't think you can buy just the twin w/o the flywheel.. But do know you can buy the flywheel w/o the twin..
Man am i post whoring today or what..
